Off airport parking at Manchester offers a cheaper alternative to parking on airport. Whilst public transport may in some instances be cheaper Jim it depends how much baggage you have to carry. Taking your car to the airport is far more convenient

@gadget, the best answer is to use public transport when you lvie near by. Trying to use it from near Newark (where my brother lives) is pretty difficult. I suspect it’s the same for others who come to Manchester airport from far flung corners of Cheshire and Lancashire.

Surely the best answer is to use public transport? Not my favourite option but in times of economic downturn, it makes sense to save money.
