Manchester Beacon Primary School Loses Head
By Jim Symcox on Jul 10, 2008 in Education, Manchester
Well actually the head is retiring.
Headteacher, Mrs Eustace has decide to put her feet up and leave the infant and junior school that she’s run for umpteen years. Certainly when Kay and I chose the school 10 years ago we knew the OFSTED reports were good. We liked the way the Infants school was run and although we were out of area we were very lucky to get in off the waiting list in the reception spring term. Ever since our first born walked through the infant gates (and got his head stuck in the railing some months later) the other offspring have followed. Our youngest joins the reception class in September so for us it will be strange to have a new head teacher for the next 7 years.
Good luck to her as Mrs Eustace is a hard act to follow.
Every year the school puts on a fantastic musical penned by one of the many multi-talented teachers ( gosh I hope they don’t read blogs!).
And last night was a rip-roaring snorter of an Apprentice-like job interview for the next Mrs Eustace. With plenty of “You’re Fired” and copying Mrs Eustace’s mannerisms exactly.
The nett result? Everyone was fired because, of course nobody can match up to Mrs Eustace.
