Manchester, More Rain And The Proms

Today the Halle is performing in Heaton park.

And surprisingly enough it’s been raining, great big buckets of the stuff all day.

We live near the Heaton Park gates and were able to witness bedraggled people traipsing up to the concert location. They weren’t just damp they were sodden.

I just hope the concert lives up to expectations. Certainly last year was great. My wife, Kay, and her mum went to see it and were treated to a great event with fantastic fireworks. Though to be fair we saw the fireworks too, though not quite as close up.

Last year Kay noted that spent 90 minutes in a queue for coffee. Let’s hope there’s a few more coffee vendors this year. Although given the heavens opening I think a nice cup of hot soup would go down well for the soaked audience, and probably the Halle too!
