Manchester’s Real Last Night Of The Proms!

On a previous post on the the last night of the proms I said that I’d seen loads of bedraggled people going into Heaton Park to watch it in the pouring rain.

That was totally incorrect. What I’d actually seen were the enormous numbers of production staff and stage crew coming in to set-up the stage and everything else required by such a huge event.

The real last night of the proms for Manchester is on Saturday 8th September 2007.

At the moment the sun is blazing down, although it’s a little cold. Let’s hope the sun continues right through to the weekend so the Manchester promenaders get a great concert.

And just in case you weren’t sure where the orchestra would be sitting the picture shows Heaton Hall’s lawns where they sat last year.
