Terry Christian – Manchester hero?
By Rob on Jul 30, 2007 in BBC Radio Manchester, Paul Calf, Terry Christian, The Word
The wisdom of Paul Calf explaining his worst nightmare scenario: “sitting next to Terry Christian on a long haul flight on one side ……… and another Terry Christian on the other.”
There was a time when I thought Terry Christian was a professional Manc with an aggravating voice. This was in part owing to that Jackson Pollock type TV mess called The Word. But I have changed my mind. Terry’s radio show on BBC Radio Manchester is entertaining and the music brilliant and all with his Manchester reminisces. Terry’s humour never quite does it though and that includes his football taunts. However, he recently quoted a friend who said that Manchester City would win their first piece of silverware for years. Now anyone who says that can’t be all bad, can they?
